Welcome to the third edition of my Follow Friday series. I was travelling last week and didn’t have a chance to post my #FF recommendations here. Our business is really picking up (hooray!), so this week I’m highlighting three people that are focused on productivity and customer experience.
You Should Follow
Jon Ferrara – Jon is the CEO of Nimble, a new company that provides Social CRM software for small businesses. The company’s slogan is “More customers, less work” which is exactly what small businesses are trying to accomplish. Jon is always tweeting a ton of great links and is really good about conversing with you if you reach out to him. I should note that the Nimble application is currently in private beta, but I’ve heard good things about it. I’m still waiting on my invite..hint hint
Bruce Temkin – If you follow this blog, then you already know who Bruce Temkin is. He recently left Forrester research, where he concentrated on customer experience research and was the most-read analyst at the firm for several years. His blog is extremely popular, and was the first one I subscribed to when I started my customer experience obsession. Bruce recently started his own company, The Temkin Group, where he and his wife are continuing to drive change in organizations in order to create remarkable customer experiences.
Tom Peters – As if Tom Peters needed a recommendation from me…yeah, right. Nonetheless, I’ve been reading his new book, The Little Big Things, so all of his awesome wisdom has been rattling around in my brain the last couple of weeks. If you don’t pick up a copy of his new book, then you should at least subscribe to his blog; there’s a ton of valuable content there that he gives away for free. Follow him on Twitter and you’ll be treated to bits of wisdom and the occasional rant that lets you know how passionate he is about his work.
Ok, that brings this edition to a close. I hope you have a great weekend!
